Scholarships

Undergraduate students:

Substantial scholarships awarded automatically

As of Fall 2010, the University of Ottawa will try to help decrease the cost of post-secondary studies by automatically allocating renewable admissions scholarships to qualified candidates.

The annual amount of the scholarship will vary according to the average entry grade and the nature of the undergraduate program of studies.

Any undergraduate student with at least an 80 per cent average will automatically receive an annual scholarship ranging from $1,000 to $4,000. This scholarship is renewable throughout the duration of your studies provided you maintain or increase your average. The average is calculated based on academic results taken into account for admission to the University of Ottawa.

No application is required, the scholarship is awarded automatically.
For certain programs, you could be considered for other excellence scholarships.

Graduate students:

At the University of Ottawa, each faculty is allocated a budget for international students. Each faculty holds their own competition with their own criteria; scholarships are awarded in accordance with the faculty’s priorities until the funds are depleted. An admission average of 8.0 / 10 is required.
